PURPOSE STATEMENT

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the invoice and collections of accounts receivable

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  •  Responsible for collection efforts of customer invoices.
  •  Responsible to help ensure customers are invoiced correctly in accordance with the guidelines provided.
  •   Accountable for obtaining any necessary paperwork missing as well as analyzing and problem solving any billing discrepancies.
  •  Interacts daily with dispatch associates to resolve billing issues and payment disputes.
  • Responsible for all many customers inquiries to ensure that they are handled efficiently and professionally.
  •  Responsible in assisting with the processing of customer payments and following up on short paid invoices
  • Obtain any needed Proof of Delivery's that are requested from Customers.
  •  Perform general office duties such as data entry, operating office machines, and sorting mail.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Accounting or Business degree required. Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
  •  Past collection experience preferred, but not required.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Be able to use telephone, fax machine and copier.
  •  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Email System.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Transportation experience helpful, but not required.
  • Strong ability to organize and work independently.
