PURPOSE STATEMENT

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the invoice and collections of accounts receivable

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Invoice processing for customers
  • Invoice collections
  • Payable inquiries for carriers
  • Vendor invoice retrieval
  • Maintaining the vendor/customer organization records
  • Processing daily statements and payments for customs and other various carrier payments
  • Audit check stubs on bi-weekly check runs
  • Audit ACH/Wire reports on bi-weekly ACH runs

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Accounting or Business degree required, Bachelors preferred.
  • Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Past collection experience preferred, but not required
  • Good computer skills
  • Be able to use telephone, fax machine and copier
  •  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Email System
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Transportation experience helpful, but not required.
  • Experience with international freight a plus but not required
  • Ability to organize and work independently
