PURPOSE STATEMENT

You are a Supply Chain professional, you have been in your current role for 3-years and you're bored!  You dream of a position where you play a central role in generating the most accurate demand plans based on statistical models, large data set analyses, past performance, divisional inputs and market insights…. Rich Products Corporation is looking for your skills as a Demand Planner at our World Headquarter's in Buffalo, NY or our office in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Rich's is one of the world’s largest family-owned food companies and a leading global supplier to the foodservice, in-store bakery, retail and industrial marketplaces

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

As Demand Planner, your responsibilities will include:

 

Looking ahead: Develop and own 24-month category demand plan and present data at a high level to leadership

 

Knowing your business: Maintain, understand and speak to assumptions regarding new products, promotional data and how it impacts overall demand plan

  • Proactively identify trends and adjust demand plan at weekly DC level to drive results
  • Understand demand plan and impact it has on supply chain

 

Crunching the numbers: Analyze large amounts of data and draw reasonable conclusions that support business decision making and find value added solutions.

  • Manage large amounts of data and inputs by using exception base analyses
  • Interpret Forecast Value Add (FVA) to drive improvements in demand plan development
  • Apply metrics and past performance to drive results
     

Knowing your audience: Understand overall category business, interpret and implement into specific demand plan and Proactively communicate demand trends and changes to Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Now, for you, your career profile should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related field, with 3+ years of statistical forecasting and supply chain experience.  MBA-Supply Chain Concentration preferred.
  • Experience in Statistical Forecasting and Model development
  • Hands on experience in SAP APO as a planning tool { SAP ERP, a plus}
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in Integrated Business Planning
