PURPOSE STATEMENT

We currently have a CS&L internship opening on our Transportation Team. Term of these internships is typically a minimum of two semesters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting the Transportation Team on various projects. 

Work schedule is typically 3 to 4 days per week, averaging between 20 to 30 hours per week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Assist with transportation lane and rate analysis
  • Transportation Invoice coding and processing
  • Data entry, spreadsheet updating and filing associated with DOT Compliance
  • Identifying and analyzing opportunities for freight spend savings
  • Updating and maintaining carrier pricing in the TMS
  • Supporting freight expediting requests
  • Providing support to projects associated with our TMS
  • Supporting DSD group with supply requests to the field
  • Managing carrier compliance documentation
  • Tracking and filing asset agreements and fleet spreadsheets

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or related field and must be a student through Spring 2020.
  • MS Office skills including strong MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
