We are looking for our next Director of Sales to support our In-Store Bakery & Deli in the key location such as, but not limited to: Chicago, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Detroit, and Minneapolis


As the new Director of Sales, In-Store Bakery & Deli you will:

Be Strategic:

As a member of the Bakery, Deli and Ingredients Steering Team you will drive the strategic direction and tactical execution of the Division including:

Develop, lead, and execute sales strategies for key retailers, wholesalers, and brokers to deliver annual targets.

Collaborate with Product and Customer Marketing in development of product launch Initiatives, assessing new market opportunities and competitive threats

Assess current sales process, capabilities and customer engagement ecosystem and make recommendations and implement improvements.

Create and Foster Relationships:

Communicate and partner with our customers, brokers, field sales, and internal associates to achieve sales objectives and profit expectations for the central zone

Support and guide broker partners to ensure successful promotions and the implantation of Rich’s portfolio in unison with our customers

Influence go to market strategy through insights and assessment of marketplace

Dynamically create, develop, and foster strong partnerships and relationships in the marketplace at the retail, wholesale, and distributor level

Drive Change and Innovation:

Keep a pulse on an innovative, ever changing marketplace to ensure nimbleness of Rich’s in the In-Store Bakery & Deli Channel

Coach, manage, inform the direction of both broker partners as well as regional sales associates to ensure top notch sales delivery and execution

Drive development and deployment of next generation sales organization.

As your next potential employer, we need you to have:

7+ years of food industry experience

5+ years in In-Store Bakery & Deli a plus

Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline – MBA preferred

Extensive experience in managing food industry sales teams as well as brokers

Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight trips
