PURPOSE STATEMENT

f’real foods is a growing frozen beverage company that designs and markets great-tasting milkshakes, smoothies and frappes. f’real f’natics (people who love our products!) freshly blend our delicious beverages in a patented blender that can be found in almost 20,000 locations across North America.  A wholly-owned subsidiary of Rich Products Corporation, our company has grown by leaps and bounds, yet f’realies (team members) still maintain our entrepreneurial spirit and culture.  

 

Job Description

The Associate Marketing Manager, Innovation reports to the Director of Innovation and will be responsible for efforts to generate growth and profitability throughthe development and execution of innovation strategies. Specifically, this role oversees new product development execution, conducts business analytics to drive sound decisions, supports in building product strategies, and leads the development of innovation initiatives. This role has a strong cross-functional leadership component and interfaces with engineering, sales, marketing, finance and customer support teams internally, as well as external customers and vendors.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Primary Responsibilities

  • Market Insights: Gathers consumer and customer insights, monitors competitive activity and uncovers trends via research and 3rdparty data to determine key need gaps at retail that f’real can leverage
  • Positioning: Utilizes insights to inform f’real’s positioning in the marketplace to ensure sustained differentiation and consistency with the brand’s guidelines and personality
  • Strategy: Supports long-term innovation roadmap and strategic framework 
  • Cross functional leadership: Leads cross functional team to execute the strategy and gain alignment; manage key timelines and tactics to deliver the roadmap
  • Reporting & analytics: Develops and manages P&Ls for f’real portfolio in partnership with finance; creates dashboards to track key milestones on projects; conducts analysis to track performance on key initiatives
  • Sales support: Creates sales support materials to effectively sell our proposition at retail in conjunction with Creative Team; educates the sales team to appropriately pitch innovation products; works with Sales, Customer Support and key customers to maximize lead conversion and customer satisfaction
  • Marketing Plans & Business Review: Conducts annual business plan to determine key learnings and implications; develops annual Marketing Plan

 

Job Requirements

  • Some level of travel required for field visits, customer and company meetings (approx. 10%) 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree preferably in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years relevant product marketing experience or other relevant experience
  • Experience with the technology or equipment; retail or food equipment preferred
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills required
  • Salesforce experience a plus

  • Financial acumen & analytics: Strong knowledge and utilization of key data systems, reporting, analysis, implications, and the key P&L levers; some management of budgets, test markets and/or forecasting
  • Innovation/Creativity: Leads learnings, best practices, new processes/approaches and product innovation; leads brainstorming to generates big new ideas; challenges the status quo and seeks continuous improvement.
