Meet Your Job

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all packaging and ingredient raw materials that are unique to our milkshake and smoothie products. As a member of our operations team, this individual will work closely with our production and materials planners and collaborate with many cross functional groups including international partners. The Procurement Manager will work with suppliers to maintain and develop contracts, provide forecasts, and monitor and negotiate costs. This position reports to the Director of Operations and Fulfillment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Place POs with suppliers to maintain target inventory positions on both domestic and international packaging
  • Work closely with copackers to ensure proper on hand material inventory levels and to resolve ingredient supply issues
  • Plan for new product offerings and help to qualify new suppliers
  • Drive alignment with cross functional groups including marketing, accounting, innovation, and milkshake research and development teams
  • Maintain supplier relationships, develop and renew supplier contracts, provide forecasts, and resolve supply issues as they arise
  • Manage materials scrap and approve invoices for obsolete materials
  • Forecast and plan for packaging design transitions and changes in materials/components
  • Coordinate with international teams to provide materials for production runs
  • Monitor and negotiate component pricing and communicate changes to internal partners


Job Requirements:

  • Minimal travel required (less than 10%)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience required (7 to 10 years of experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MS Office skills required with emphasis on Excel proficiency.
  • Substantial analytical and planning mindset (particularly using Excel)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Understanding of forecasting, complex builds of materials, inventory management, and how changes in raw material pricing impact working capital
  • Self-driven, positive, results-oriented performer
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work with various functions across a multitude of management levels and with international partners
  • Humble with a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude
