PURPOSE STATEMENT

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Mechanic III who will be responsible for plant maintenance and support of equipment throughout the plant. Working in partnership with the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Lead, and Maintenance Planner, they keep the plant and its primary electrical and mechanical systems running. Must be able to perform all Maintenance Mechanic I and Maintenance Mechanic II duties.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Works in partnership with Maintenance leadership and Production leadership to perform basic maintenance and repairs on conveyors, packaging equipment, production equipment, electrical controls systems and other related plant systems.
- Records and documents procedural changes, assuring all equipment documentation is up to date and accurate
- Utilizing SAP, performs data entry into Computer Maintenance Management Systems
- Prepares unscheduled work orders to support production requirements.
- Operates, troubleshoots and repairs all production equipment both mechanical and electrical
- Troubleshoot and repair 3 phase electrical components, and control voltage problems
- Perform stick or tig welding of small repairs on equipment in order prevent long term downtime until a permanent repair can be completed
- Lead maintenance projects including new equipment installs and rebuilds
- Fabricate or modify support components of equipment and perform millwright activities
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, Ammonia, boiler and wastewater breakdowns
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Must have 3-5 years experience in food processing, working with standard troubleshooting and repair of production equipment with highly sophisticated control systems
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have the ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operations
- Must have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team
- Must be proficient on Rich’s SCADA system
- Must have general mechanical knowledge and electrical and logic principle knowledge
- Has basic plumbing, metalworking and general facilities/building maintenance knowldege
- Has an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines
- Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines
- Understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
- Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned
