Purpose Statement
The Engineering Intern will support the engineering department in various projects. They will ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures. The Engineering Intern will comprehend complex systems, identify the sources of any problems that arise, and decide on which actions to take to fix them via the appropriate approval network.
We're currently seeking a college student for a summer 2025 internship in Fort Erie, Ontario.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
• Support and lead engineering projects.
• Project scope development.
• Documentation of project charter.
• Development of project execution strategies.
• Ensuring equipment/design meets the technical requirements and specifications to satisfy project deliverables.
• Vendor communication.
• Problem solving (technical and logistical).
• Presentations to stakeholders on project status.
• Cash flow and budget management.
• Project schedule development and facilitating.
• Updating and modifying 2D CAD drawings.
• Oversee vendor onsite activities and ensure compliance to safety and GMP standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• Actively enrolled in an accredited university/college in a Bachelor of Science/Engineering program.
• Experience with AutoCAD (creating, editing, manipulating drawings)
• Proficient use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Work, outlook, PowerPoint, 365)
• Fluent English speaking and writing.
• Ability to walk through all parts of plant in order to examine/peruse equipment and processes.
• Sit for extended periods of time.
• Stand for extended periods of time
COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$17.00 - $32.00
