PURPOSE STATEMENT

Controls the conversion of liquid, tempered product formula to whipped or liquid finished product and the correct packaging while adhering to associate safety, food quality, and product quality guidelines.

***Position scheduled to work Monday-Thursday, 4 pm to 2:30 am. Work 10 hours per day, 4 days per week.***

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
  • Adhere to GMP guidelines for personal practices regarding hygiene and cleanliness
  • Set-up and maintain proper operation as well as basic mechanical troubleshooting of machine equipment, which may include: transfer panel operations, pumps, pneumatics, cylinders, conveyors
  • Responsible for maintaining supply of packaging materials which may include bags, pails, labels, lids, boxes and tips to ensure efficient operation
  • Requisition materials from logistics and verify materials against the bill of materials (BOM) before use
  • Performs process control and quality checks, and may assist Quality Assurance technicians in obtaining product samples
  • Assist maintenance with routine Preventive Maintenance
  • Manages work in process and tank coordination
  • Coordinates and completes product changeovers for equipment
  • Coordinates break relief for production lines while operating
  • Cleans all equipment using CIP systems
  • Administers technical training of other associates
  • Ability to coordinate correct manual palletizing of cases and pails when required on pallets to a height up to 72 inches
  • Complete proper start-up and shut-down of equipment and related checklists
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum of two years related experience in a food, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate information
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability and desire to train other associates
