PURPOSE STATEMENT

Training Specialist – Production has functional responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering training materials and documentation. Primary responsibilities of the Training Specialist will be to use TPM to achieve compliance with training and GMP needs of the facility. This will require a technical understanding of the operation of equipment and processes in manufacturing to meet business needs related to production.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Perform clerical duties to maintain associates training records. (Step up cards and Skills Matrix)

Guide associates to achieve their goals while monitoring training effectiveness.

Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and ability perform competency assessments for associates.

Utilize instructional design techniques to create and maintain On the Job Training (OJT), Instructor Led Training (ILT), and Computer Based Training (CBT) initiatives and programs.

Provide training on AM/PM tools and techniques to drive results through HPT activities.

Actively participate in pillar meetings and contribute to pillar action plans.

Perform routine audits of training records to ensure compliance.

Deliver training courses and orientation to all levels of manufacturing associates.

Collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of serving as a liaison and resource in identifying associate training needs.

Create and present solutions to resolve identified training productivity and performance issues.

Stay abreast of new and current training methodologies, theories, and techniques through continued education.

Be able to execute position requirements with little or no supervision.

Perform other and incidental duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Requires training experience equivalent to a Training Specialist and/or 2 years of experience in a role with significant training focus.

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required.

Mechanical aptitude required.

Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted, 20/30 corrected vision and exposure to allergens.

Must be willing to work extended hours when necessary.
