PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Warehouse Team Leader will manage all aspects of finished product storage, transport, materials requisition, acquisition, storage, and inventory control. The Warehouse Team Leader must also assure the effective and efficient operation of assigned distribution crew, while assuring the effective training and direction of all people on assigned shift.

 

This position is 1st shift working approximately 7:30am-3pm/4pm.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Regional Warehouse Manager and supervise warehouse associates on assigned shift. The person will increasingly gain knowledge in the reporting, analysis, decision-making, and supervisory accountabilities/functions associated with this position. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of the assigned distribution team. Coordinates efforts with other plant and corporate departments and Maintenance Technicians, to assure best use of time and resources in assuring optimum level of product quality, cost, and throughput. Proactively and in a timely manner resolves problems with team members or other departments. Communicates problems and solutions in a timely manner.
  • Selects, trains and supervises all assigned team members; administers all working conditions and benefits of subordinates, including but not limited to determining their daily work schedules based on plant production, shipping, and receiving schedules, inspecting work for completion and satisfactory performance level, correcting associates, evaluating work performance, handling disciplinary issues, scheduling vacations, and arranging for covering absences/vacations. Assures that Team Members are adequately trained in the safe operation and cleaning of all equipment which they use in performing their various tasks.
  • Assists Regional Warehouse Manager with communicating information on goals, measurements, and results, as well as general shipping information to team members and to other appropriate people in the facility daily and by special request, while assisting the Regional Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensures presence of all team members at work stations and proper wearing of personal protective equipment.
  • Makes decisions as to acceptability or requirement to change. If problems are out of the scope, communicates problems to Regional Warehouse Manager. Performs periodic reviews throughout the shift to assure that work is done timely and accurately.
  • Assists team members and maintenance technicians with problem-resolution regarding machinery, cleanliness, and other issues. This may require inspecting product or machinery to determine cause of problem.
  • Ensures preparation of required reports of attendance, time, orders, bills of lading, and other reports, while assuring accurate calculations. Trains operators to prepare their reports accurately and timely.
  • Ensures that work areas are kept clean at all times.
  • Performs all responsibilities within the policies, procedures, and code of ethics of the company.
  • Maintains effective communication with superiors, co-workers, and other departments, receiving and communicating verbal information accurately and timely, responding to requests for information and material in a timely manner, and coordinating processing of incoming and outgoing written information.
  • This position requires an extremely high level of safety consciousness, concern, and knowledge since the individual and his/her team members will be working in an environment, which by its very nature has a high exposure to hazards and hazardous conditions. Water and food materials on floor, routine use of chemicals in cleaning and operation of equipment, use of high pressure water, use of low pressure water and air, and physically checking equipment and work stations are all an integral part of the food manufacturing process. The individual in this position is required to actively train and oversee the work of team members to assure use of safe procedures and personal protective equipment at all times to minimize accidents and injuries and produce food products at required levels of quality and productivity.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma required, Associates Degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience with the ability to work in a demanding environment with attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage a team

  • Warehouse management system (WMS) experience

  • Must have good interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures, and HACCP.

  • Good skills to analyze problems, develop solutions, and successfully implement the solutions.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

  • Good verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement actions to drive continuous improvement.

  • Inventory control experience

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Previous experience using SAP and/or RF is a plus

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$60,780.52 - $82,232.47
