Purpose Statement

We are seeking a detail-oriented and growth-minded Accountant to support the financial operations of our travel-focused organization. This role is ideal for a CPA-certified professional with 3+ years of experience who is ready to take ownership of core accounting functions and contribute to process improvements. While this is not a supervisory role at the outset, the position is designed with growth in mind—offering the opportunity to evolve into a leadership role over time based on performance, team needs, and organizational growth.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

·    Own the execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance. 
·    Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger and financial reporting structure.
·    Oversee client billings and assist with revenue recognition processes.
·    Collaborate with the Controller on strategic initiatives, special projects, and departmental goals.
·    Support  the development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
·    Partner with the accounting team members to support back-office processes, including ARC reporting, commission tracking, and integration with front-office systems.
·    Learn  and adapt to industry-specific systems such as TRAMS Back Office, with training and support provided.
·    Apply  accounting policies to operational tasks and support cross-functional teams with financial insights.
·    Implement and support  internal control procedures within assigned areas, under the framework established by the Controller.
·    Stay current on accounting standards and travel industry practices through ongoing professional development.
·    Engage in training, supplier, and engagement programs either virtually or in-person as required.
·    Demonstrate passion and energy within the organization and always act according to company Ethics, Values, and Compliance guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
•    CPA certification preferred.
•    3+ years of accounting/auditing experience, such as working in a CPA firm or in an internal accounting or financial analyst role.
•    Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
•    Ability to learn new systems and understand how they integrate across departments.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and O365 apps.
•    Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI tools and technologies used to support financial analysis, reporting automation, and workflow optimization.

•    Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote environment.
