PURPOSE STATEMENT

  • To maximise listings, distribution, value sales and profitability of the Rich’s product portfolio within nominated customer(s) in line with the Sales and Channel strategy via an insight-based category leadership approach. 

Responsible for:

Out Of Home – Wild Bean Cafe/Eat/Pret/Hilton

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • To pro-actively develop customer focused solutions to profitably grow the business
  • Lead the customer brief process ensuring that all NPD is successfully launched on time, in line with the Rich C2L process
  • To build strong customer relationships to ensure that we deliver the Rich’s experience
  • Implement compelling commercial plans to ensure achievement of sales and profit targets
  • Develop long-term Joint Business Plans to drive incremental sweet bakery category sales and to achieve agreed shared objectives with the customer
  • Ensure customer plans are monitored and controlled and where necessary contingency plans developed to address any issues
  • To communicate effectively and pro-actively with all internal functions; production, supply chain, technical, new product development, finance, marketing and category management to ensure high quality and efficient service is provided

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of the food industry
  • A passion for food and a culinary appreciation of different cuisines
  • Understands market dynamics and consumer trends
  • Business development track record in the food and/or drink marketplace
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to influence at a variety of levels
  • Adaptable and resilient
  • Demonstrable experience in account management in Food and Bakery
  • Proven track record in insight-based solution selling
  • Strong negotiation skills gained in an FMCG commercial environment
  • Appreciation of the NPD process of bringing a product to market
  • Leading and managing projects to a successful implementation
