PURPOSE STATEMENT

  • Effective management of the finance team.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable & Payable Ledgers and be responsible for the Banking transactions of the business.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls and systems are in place and contribute to business improvement activities.
  • Work closely with the Finance Officer (G/Ledger), support and cover where appropriate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Team Management
  • Provide leadership, motivation and encouragement to develop a cross functional, multi skilled team.
  • Integrity of Financial Records
  • Assist in the timely and accurate month end close within agreed deadlines
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of all transactions
  • Responsible for complete, accurate and timely processing of all transactions on the AP & AR Ledger.
  • Manage & control online Expense Management System and reporting.
  • Financial Controls & Systems
  • Develop, operate and maintain an effective system of internal controls within accounting function
  • Ensure efficient processes within the financial function and within cross functional processes involving finance
  • Ensure EDI functionality with customers is set up and maintained
  • Maintain daily cashflow reporting to  ensure supplier payments are made in line with agreed terms
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Develop and manage AP & AR ledger reports, control systems and internal audit
  • Develop Cross Functional reporting with Procurement and other teams within the business.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Business Improvement Activities
  • Manage the AP & AR accounting modules of the AX system
  • Proactively identify and implement cost saving measures
  • Support Finance Manager in any other business improvement/analysis projects
  • You must comply with Rich Products Limited Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience of Finance acquired within the Food or Manufacturing sectors
  • Qualified AAT or relevant degree as a minimum
