PURPOSE STATEMENT
• As part of the Shift leadership team to effectively manage the Andover production and warehouse operation during the shift.
• To support the business to achieve high quality, low cost manufacture, attaining production plan alongside meeting customers’ service and audit and regulatory requirements.
• To lead all Associates on shift.
• Working closely with key stakeholder such as Technical, Sanitation, Engineering, R&D and Planning amongst others to ensure an efficient and effective operation.
• To drive specific improvement activity to ensure current and future operational needs meet business objectives and strategy.
• To ensure products manufactured are safe, legal and comply to customers quality standards whilst meeting business cost parameters.
This role is based on working 0700 - 1900 Saturday and Sunday
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
• Ensure a safe working environment for all associates, visitors, customers, contractors etc. across the site and during shift.
• Embed food safety, hygiene and quality standards as appropriate to drive a quality food manufacturer, meeting Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) and legislative requirements competent authorities.
• Utilise operations capabilities; production, warehouse and sanitation to meet plan attainment requirements.
• Deliver operation’s KPIs including OEE measures that meet/exceed company standards, current customer, legislative and business needs.
• Responsible for ensuring operations’ costs; labour & materials are met. Proactively seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies and minimise costs working closely with the Finance team to deliver budget.
• Continually identify and actively manage CI opportunities to develop and enhance operations in line with business needs and considering latest manufacturing trends with an eye on the factory of the future.
• Grow and develop a team of highly engaged, high performing associates focusing on improvement of skills and development.
• Be an active collaborator working cross functionally to meet business objectives and needs such as Engineering & R&D.
• Effectively managing in line with Company policies and Procedures, Associate life cycle activities such as absence, disciplinary etc.
• Championing the Company values and GLDs to drive the Family culture and focus on engagement.
• Effective clear and concise oral and written communication producing reports and completing investigations in an accurate and timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Critical
• IOSH/NEBOSH certificate level.
• Basic Food Safety/HACCP level qualifications.
• Ability to manage and motivate large diverse teams
• Demonstrable knowledge of operating production, ideally including warehouse and sanitation
• Strong food manufacturing experience
• Ability to drive performance and manage change
• Strong technical & engineering understanding and awareness
• Appreciation of ERP systems and planning systems.
• Commercial Awareness and budget management and ability to see the bigger picture.
• Track record of managing large operational functions or whole autonomous site

Desirable
• Degree level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Food Science/Technology.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt or equivalent CI qualification.
• Bakery manufacturing knowledge and experience
• Project Management experience and knowledge of good practice.
• Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365
• Experience in working in a matrix global manufacturing organisation.
• Understanding of CAPEX submissions and requirements of project implementation.
