PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Associate Sales Manager will drive sales and execution of key accounts. Responsible for achieving sales and financial targets, this is an entry level sales management opportunity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Sales

  • Responsible for identifying and developing new business for assigned accounts/ markets
  • Active and visible participation at assigned accounts/markets with local trade events, training sessions, business reviews, product cuttings, grand openings, and retail resets and competitive store/market activity
  • Working knowledge and clear visibility of industry landscape, via market visits, internet, trade publications, industry trade show events and more
  • Communicate key competitive activity and identify growth opportunities across product development and marketing activations

Financial

  • Responsible for delivering annual sales and profit growth targets 
  • Support business in accordance with team strategic and financial goals
  • Track sales progress in Sales Discovery System (SDS) and maintain best-in-class S&OP processes.
  • Identify sales and opportunity risks and track progress vs. annual plans
  • Clear understanding of all profit and loss statements
  • track progress vs. annual plans

Communication

  • Regularly update SDS forecast for S&OP processes and demand planning
  • Maintain Account Plans and reporting 
  • Communicate product customization needs and requirements including specifications, volumes, timing, and requested pricing to Division Marketing and Sales leaders.
     

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business management, finance, or related field)
  • Experience in account management 
  • Ability to lead and facilitate key customer interactions
  • Solid communication skills to include verbal and written capabilities; strong presentation ability
  • Experience establishing and cultivating business relationships to help drive business.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and with cross functional teams to find results.
  • Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Travel Requirements -  30% (overnight included)
