Purpose Statement
Basic business requirements such as attendance, punctuality, good work habits, good personal hygiene; advanced education in communication, reading, and math; processing software; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); excellent oral and written skills, follow-through and organizational skills; office administrative skills; 10-key calculator. Preferred SAP knowledge. High school diploma required, some college preferred.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Pushing trash carts to proper disposal area
- Using a low-pressure water hose to wash down the dock consistent with plant wastewater and sanitation policies
- Using a rubber squeegee to push water down drains
- Pushing a floor scrubbing machine to clean and dry floors
- Separating pallets in pallet yard as requested by Team Leader/Group Leader
- The persons performing these tasks will spend most of the working shift sitting or standing on fork trucks, traveling from the various frozen storage locations which are at zero to minus 10 degrees F. The shipping dock is maintained at approximately 40 degrees F. When delivering materials to the production lines, the driver must go to ambient temperatures. The floors, including the docks, are concrete.
- Minimum lifting requirement is 30 pounds. Maximum lifting requirement is up to 55.
- The persons performing this job physically must be able to drive a "sit-down" or "stand-up" fork truck, use a "walking" or "riding" pallet jack, and have excellent vision and depth perception to avoid injuries to self and others and damage to materials.
- Applies all safe work practices associated with these tasks. Works in a safe manner at all times.
- Applies all GMPs requirements, both personal hygiene and housekeeping, associated with these tasks. Keeps work areaclean at all times, in line with plant procedures on housekeeping, wastewater, and solids management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Assures improved productivity within the Logistics Department by providing effective and efficient administrative and customer service support. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Organizing and maintaining adequate filing systems for department forms, correspondence, and reports to ensure documents are easily accessible and files remain current
- Monitoring, assisting or forwarding incoming telephone calls as needed in a professional and courteous manner
- Providing administrative assistance as needed to ensure a smooth flow of operations of the department to include photocopying information, faxing information, setting up meetings, etc.
- Setting inbound and outbound delivery appointments
- Conducting trailer inspections
- Completing recalls & mock recalls
- Posting BOL’s, allocating STO’s, checking drivers in and out
- Cycle Counting
- Track and research inventory issues and discrepancies
- Updating various reports via MS Office
- Answering emails
- Releasing raw materials from outside storage
- CHEP pallets – coordinate ordering heat-treated pallets, cancelling shipments, scheduling pickups of bad pallets
- Maintains effective communication with superiors, co-workers and other departments, receiving and communicating verbal information accurately and timely, responding to requests for information and materials in a timely manner, and coordinating processing of incoming and outgoing written information.
- Continues to improve ability to work with software that will streamline the operation of the office and improve presentations, reports, memos and systems software.
- Accomplish the flow of all raw materials and finished products into and out of the freezer and dry warehouse using SAP and RF, checking and distributing reports/registers and posting and allocating trucks.
- Performs all responsibilities within the policies, procedures, and code of ethics of the Company.
