PURPOSE STATEMENT

The HR Manager position is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle Human Resources support to Rich’s Brunswick location. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Business Know How – You possess fundamental business acumen and know how to partner with the Plant Manager to contribute to the bottom line from a people perspective.


Is a Catalyst – You are able to light the fire in others and make things happen without allowing your own fire to go out.


Leadership Credibility and Influence – You are able to connect with people at all levels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. When you talk, people listen and respond.


HR Knowledge – You have a deep understanding of navigating the complexities of employment law, have performed the full gamut of the HR Generalist role, and have five to seven years of serving as an HR Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing plant (PHR/SPHR certification preferred)


Talent Management – You have strong skills, passion and demonstrated capabilities and performance in finding, growing and keeping good people. 


Succession and Workforce Planning – You know how to ensure that a company has the appropriate talent in place to effectively run the business.


Is Proactive – You continually scan the business environment for opportunities, have the ability to see around corners, anticipate and address issues, drive change and challenge the status quo.


Advocacy/Integrity – You care about people, the company culture and the community in which you work, you operate with the highest level of integrity and can build trust.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • College degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field required.  MBA desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of all phases of Human Resources, including labor relations gained through (5) five to (7) seven years of experience as a generalist in a Human Resources environment, preferably in Manufacturing.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Previous managerial experience required
