Rich Products is seeking a strong manufacturing production supervisor for our Brunswick, Georgia operation that will bring strong leadership, effective perfomance coaching and organizational skills our manufacturing process. 

Our Brunswick, Georgia manufacturing operation is a non-union food manufacturing plant with 300 associates. Located in beautiful coastal Brunswick, Georgia, the area offers an excellent quality of life with a variety of recreational activities due to its close proximity to Saint Simons and Jekyll Islands. Brunswick, Georgia is also located close to Savanah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida.

*This position will initally train and orient on first shift, but will be filled for either a second or third shift position.


Adheres to production schedules, assigning staff to ensure that production quotas are met for finished goods inventories.

  • Minimize waste and cost and ensures conformance to safety and quality standards.
  • Align equipment capabilities and team skill set to optimize line efficiency.
  • Advise plant management on process improvement and line optimization.
  • Train and coach team members on how to work safely and efficiently, as well as develop future technical talent.
  • Manage time efficiently. Properly balance team members and work load so all Associates have adequate break time.
  • Mentors and motivates associates, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth. 
  • Communicates performance standards to associates, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
  • Directs requisitions for maintenance and repair of production equipment, and for machine parts and manufacturing supplies.     
  • Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensures safety standards are in compliance.
  • Lead sanitation efforts through safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE, and other regulatory requirements.      
  • Identifies the temporary staffing needs of unit for the following day or week, and arrange for the presence and assignment of temporary or regular labor to the unit prior to line start-up.
  • Participates in weekly GMP, sanitation and safety inspections throughout the production departments and corrects, or issues work orders to correct, any identified deficiencies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years as a manufacturing production supervisor, or some college with a minimum of five years experience working as a production supervisor. 
  • Have knowledge and understanding of progressive manufacturing tools and systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, SPC, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, etc.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and Time and Attendance tracking programs (i.e. Kronos, eTime, etc.)
  • Understand, plan, and execute labor standards and run rates to optimize production costs. Effective workforce planning.
  • Preferably have a knowledge of GMPs and food safety regulations and requirements.
  • Have experience with product quality standards and specifications.
  • Understand how to plan and lead production operations to ensure that the right people, materials, and machinery are available and ready to make the right amount of scheduled product on time.
  • Possess a strong ability to coach and develop the workforce.
