Purpose Statement

The Line Process Owner is responsible as part of the Line Trio for all the line results. The process owner is responsible for developing and owning the line operating standards and analyzing the data to identify and prioritize loss elimination.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  1. Lead the shift team to deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Production and Engagement results.
  2. Analyze line data and work with the line trio, team leaders and Group Leaders to prioritize identify gaps, trends and prioritize loss elimination.
  3. Develop and implement operation standards. Train and coach Equipment Owners and Associates to understand and follow these standards.
  4. Ensure all people follow all safety and quality standards.
  5. Prepare and analyze the data with the line trio for the DLM and weekly reviews.
  6. Train the line members in the use of the FI tools.
  7. Support equipment owners towards completing AM step 3.
  8. Ensure centerline completion and compliance.
  9. Coach equipment owners and production associates and provide regular feedback on their performance and development needs.
  10. Support line shift team members qualification on their skill matrices
  11. Collaborate with Team Leaders and Line Owner in managing Equipment Owners’ performance assessments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

HS degree or GED; BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, Food Science, Engineering or related field preferred

3 years supervisory experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment

Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP

Demonstrated understanding of production scheduling and other production variables such as run-rates, processing times, change-over times, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), throughput delivery and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)

Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment

Demonstrated ability to formulate and understand complex mathematical equations

Proficient using Excel or other spreadsheet software
