Purpose Statement

•PWI/OPL Development Leadership: Plan with SMEs and create effective PWIs/OPLs that meet plant standards.  Quality PWIs/ OPLs that are compliant with the expected Effective PWI/OPL training/ checklist.
•POKA Data Ownership (Home Shift): Maintain accurate POKA profiles, roles, content, and structure for the assigned home shift.
•POKA Onboarding: Set up and integrate all new hires in POKA correctly and on time.  
•Orientational-type Trainings- Be the SME: Deliver & own non equipment orientations (e.g., New Hire Orientation) for the shift; ensure content accuracy and documentation.  Original set up, F3 license, etc.  
Note:  Floor Equipment Owner SMEs train Equipment and Job Specific SME trainings.
•LOTO Authorized User Trainer: Maintain active certification and train LOTO per policy & procedure, as well as other specific GROUP specialized trainings as assigned.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Manage training systems and records (POKA, Alchemy, Step Up Cards, Skills Matrices, document control). 
•Post and communicate weekly on-time status and any past dues (Alchemy, Step Up Cards, etc.); run weekly reports and communicate gaps, including other assigned reports as needed.
•Escalate proactively—do not allow areas to fall >2 weeks behind without notifying area leadership, Dept. Manager, and Training Shift Leader immediately for corrective actions. 
•Coordinate cross training with TLs/ GLs; verify effectiveness via audits and evaluations; coach trainers/SMEs as a resource. 
•Create and/or assist with effective OPLs, PWIs, and training decks using approved templates; maintain version control and the document control log.  Compliance to the expected Effective PWI checklist.
•Schedule, facilitate, and properly document New Hire and Sanitation orientations; ensure timely completion and storage of records.
•Manage Step Up Card (POKA) development, assignments, and completions; ensure Skills Matrices are accurate- on track- for assigned shift.  All skills have effective Work Instructions (Wis) and Quizzes.
•Champion safety and GMP compliance through training, observation, and documentation; perform effective weekly plant safety observations.
•Maintain ready documentation every day (Food Safety, Associate Safety, GMPs, HACCP, etc.).
•Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to plant and corporate policies, 6S, and Code of Ethics.
•Provide clear, timely communication to associates and leaders (posts, emails, presentations).
•Notify leadership immediately of issues; collaborate to resolve and document outcomes.
•Support shift needs (e.g., meeting setup, visitors, meals, photos for badges/LOTO tags) as related to training.  Helps with log in issues only if associate DOESN’T have a F3 license (@rich.com).
•Keep training data accurate and current, file documents securely and logically.
•Use and improve spreadsheets (e.g., formatting, Basic formulas, i.e. SUM/AVG, conditional logic, etc.) to maintain accurate matrices and reporting and PWI/ OPL building.  Must also be “computer-savvy.”
•Utilize plant systems as job-relevant: TPM, CIL/CL/OOL, MLO, GALAXY, DASH PATROL, ZPI, SAP, etc.
•Support new equipment transitions: ensure procedures, checklists, and training are complete before hand off to production.
•Help Manage the Plant Mentor process when assigned.
•Any other specific assignment job task as assigned by the Training Shift Leader or Continuous Improvement Manager, or in relation to the Operations or Production Manager needs.
PLANT SPECIFICS TO NOTE FOR POSITION:
•Maintain break/lunch rotations per policy; follow attendance, punctuality, hygiene, and housekeeping standards. Follow all plant policies and GMPs.
•Keep work areas clean and organized; eliminate visible and non visible wastes; contribute CI ideas. 
•Participate in TPM events; train daily CILs/CLs/OOLs and defect handling inspections as assigned. 
•Cooperate with team goals, attend meetings, mentor when able, and resolve conflicts professionally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

•HS Diploma/GED (some college preferred); prior plant experience. 
•Active LOTO Authorized User; strong safety record; solid knowledge of GMPs/HACCP/OSHA basics. 
•FORKLIFT TRAINING and ability to train Forklift licenses as assigned
•Proficient in PowerPoint/Word/Excel; comfortable with iPads/phones/apps/RF scanners, use of AI. 
•Strong communication, coaching, group facilitation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. 
•Understand document control, Alchemy reporting, and POKA administration. 
•Broad awareness of production processes; able to work independently.
•Meets attendance/conduct/performance expectations.
