PURPOSE STATEMENT

Operating Hi-Lift, pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts. Maintains storage facilities

(cooler, freezer, and dry warehouses) in an organized manner at all times.

Receives and delivers stock to assigned areas, good housekeeping skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Prior work experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts in a warehousing/manufacturing setting
  • The persons performing these tasks will spend most of the working shift standing The shipping dock is maintained at approximately 40 degrees F and the freezer is maintained at -5 to 5. When traveling to other storage buildings in order to unload trucks of frozen ingredients, the associate will be in ambient temperatures.
  • Learns, in general, all phases of the warehouse freezer operation from pulling from the lines, placing in storage freezer, and loading trucks on his/her assigned shift
  • Maintain storage facilities (cooler, freezer, and dry warehouses) in an organized manner at all time
  • Receives and delivers stock to assigned areas

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Good work performance, attendance, punctuality, work habits, personal hygiene and GED/High School Diploma.
  • Must have excellent vision and depth perception and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in the safe operation of industrial lift trucks (preferred but not required). Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (-10 degrees to room temperature)
