Purpose Statement
The Account Manager for the OTR division will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts within the over-the-road transportation sector. This role requires a combination of sales, customer relationship management, and logistics expertise to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction for our clients. The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that meet their transportation needs.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
1. Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their trusted advisor for all OTR transportation needs.
2. Sales Growth: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients, as well as prospecting for new business within the OTR sector.
3. Solution Development: Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized transportation solutions that align with client objectives and requirements.
4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability while delivering value and competitive pricing.
5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels for assigned accounts, proactively addressing any issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
6. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and other relevant documentation. Generate regular reports on account activity, sales performance, and revenue projections.
8. Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the logistics industry or at least 1 year of experience in Customer operations with a proven track record of success in customer acquisition, retention, and pricing.
• Strong understanding of over-the-road transportation processes, including truckload, LTL, and intermodal.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$59,160.00 - $80,040.00
