PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Inventory Allocation Analyst plays an integral role in the supply chain as they are responsible for the Allocation of inventory either at the point of order creation or in creating delivery documents. They aim to maximize case fill for customer orders across our vast network daily and uphold the allocation strategies determine by CBUs. Current inventory levels must be analyzed versus demand each day and allocated appropriately to customers when needed. This individual must be analytical, results and process oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task and have a readiness to adapt to a changing field and departmental needs. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • 70% - Facilitate comprehensive solutions to maximize case fill levels for customer orders:  Utilizing internal and external cross functional resources to investigate, research and effectively respond to inventory shortages in a timely manner.

Coordinate with internal/external teams to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.

Understand and execute nuances of various warehouse/plant locations. 

Review and make appropriate business decisions around inventory/product allocation and actively manage service metrics to established targets.

Customer focused, action oriented, listening and informing through peer relationships and with time sensitivity.

Generation and analyzation of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.

Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports.

Identifies, investigates, and escalates potential trends to drive to root cause. 

 

  • 20% - Be Agent of Change - Identify, analyze, communicate, and drive improvements on key process and performance metrics across the Supply Chain

Development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to streamline our current cross functional processes.

Innovation through automation – Identifying, creating, and implementing automation solutions to drive increased efficiencies.

 

  • 10% - Participates in new warehouse integrations, clarifying requirements of the delivery management function, as well as provide insights into best practices.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • BS Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or related field or 10+ years applicable experience
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management, transportation coordination and order / warehouse management
  • Demonstrated ability in data analysis to include interpretation, identification of trends and recommendations for action
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing and leadership skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to master current and future technology 
  • Effective Communication - written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of various transportation options to meet service levels in a cost-effective manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Demonstrated understanding and coordination of production schedules and inventory deployment
  • Experience coordinating among manufacturing plants, warehouses, transportation providers and customer facilities
  • Financial, system & supply chain acumen
  • Logical/Informed decision making - ability to balance prioritization of requests and problem resolution 
  • Ability to collaborate across the supply chain
