Collections and Accounts Receivable Specialist

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Support growth of the business channels through appropriate risk management and by maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable and current Collections while supporting the overall order to cash process for Rich Product’s business model.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Process business to business credit card payments
  • Collect on past due accounts receivable
  • Identify and resolve issues on customer’s account (e.g. through system research, providing documentation to customers as requested, etc…)
  • Apply customer payments for divisions assigned (credit card, check & ACH) within the cash application system (High Radius Cash Application Cloud Solution) verifying an accurate interface into SAP lockbox 
  • Research all open payments and credits on customer’s accounts, initiating requests for reimbursements of credit balances when appropriate. 
  • Communicate with Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager any suspected problems with customers’ accounts.
  • All other duties as assigned 
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, finance or accounting preferred
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Ability to provide guidance, and support to Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Credit/Collections and Trade Teams
  • Possess strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Understanding of intermediate accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to apply credit principles, including knowledge of accounting and legal principles related to credit sales
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
