This individual will play a versatile, hands-on role in delivering value within the Corporate Communications department, throughout the Rich’s organization and externally in the spaces and places where we live and work. From internal communications guidance and counsel to key leaders, to external management of corporate public relations and social media strategies… we’ll look to you to help us continue creating meaningful, compelling content that will reach people in new ways. We need a multi-faceted, creative thinker who appreciates the power of quality communication and the vehicles to deliver messages that matter.

 

Simply, there’s no limits to the impact the Corporate Communications Manager can make for our global company.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Partner with the director of Corporate Communications to manage and execute public and media relations activities to protect, enhance and reinforce Rich’s reputation. This includes strategy development, story ideation, creation of press materials, proactive media pitching, reactive media response and merchandising success; collaboration with Rich’s agencies as required; Serve as external communications support for community events and media opportunities, as necessary
  • Partner with Rich’s Digital Demand Creation and Global Marketing teams to drive integrated social media efforts forward; manage corporate social strategy and content; collaboration with Rich’s agencies as required
  • Serve as internal communications business partner to key business leaders, departments and teams as prioritized by the company; support development of compelling communication experiences for their constituents, while reflecting and reinforcing the organization’s values and key priorities
  • Manage corporate content on digital and online channels, including Rich’s websites, ensuring news and information is kept fresh and up-to-date
  • Develop, coordinate and manage key organizational events (both physical and virtual) in collaboration with Corporate Communications team members and other executive and global leaders

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a communications-related role; agency background strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic business environment, with a client service-driven mindset, and deliver under pressure
  • Digitally-savvy: understands changing social landscape; identifies new communications channels to engage and inform
  • Ability to wear many hats: communications advisor, PR counselor, strategic content creator, event organizer and more
  • Must be a team player, understanding individual success is driven and supported by team success
  • Collaborates effortlessly among departmental and cross functional teams; adept at building relationships with people at all levels of our global organization
  • Strong communicator and storyteller – verbal, interpersonal and written (AP Style proficient)
  • Proactive self-starter, adept at problem solving, and proven ability to exercise sound judgement and tap gut instinct to make smart, effective decisions
  • Eager to build a meaningful long-term career with Rich’s
  • Video editing skills a plus (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and/or various other multimedia software and tools)
