Purpose Statement

The Director of Equipment Fleet Performance leads the strategy, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives that maximize the reliability, availability, and lifecycle value of the company’s equipment fleet. This role oversees the collection, interpretation, and application of data from IoT connected assets to drive operational excellence, reduce downtime, and optimize total cost of ownership. The director partners closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and technology teams to turn data insights into measurable performance improvements. The ideal candidate is a true expert in data modeling and big data environments, capable of transforming massive, complex datasets into predictive insights and actionable strategies.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Fleet Performance & Reliability Strategy
•    Develop and execute a comprehensive fleet performance strategy grounded in data analytics, predictive insights, and reliability engineering principles.
•    Establish KPIs and performance dashboards that track equipment health, utilization, and lifecycle trends.
IoT Data Analytics & Insights
•    Oversee the ingestion, quality, and governance of data from IoT connected equipment, telematics systems, and maintenance platforms.
•    Build and maintain advanced data models that support predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and failure forecasting.
•    Work with large, complex datasets using modern big data tools and architectures.
•    Translate complex data into actionable insights for 3rd party service providers, customer operations teams, Rich’s leadership and cross functional stakeholders.
Reliability Improvement Initiatives
•    Drive initiatives that reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life
•    Partner with engineering on root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
•    Partner with 3rd party service providers and equipment operations teams at f’real customers to standardize best practices and optimize service performance. 
Cross Functional Leadership
•    Collaborate with IT, engineering, and OEM partners to enhance data connectivity, sensor capabilities, and diagnostic tools.
•    Provide leadership and coaching to analysts, reliability engineers, and performance specialists.
•    Communicate fleet performance trends and recommendations to executive leadership.
Technology & Innovation
•    Evaluate emerging technologies in IoT, telematics, predictive analytics, and fleet management systems.
•    Champion digital transformation initiatives that improve equipment visibility and decision making.
•    Ensure cybersecurity and data integrity standards are upheld across all connected equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in fleet performance, reliability engineering, industrial IoT, or equipment operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in data-driven fleet performance improvement in foodservice for fleet size greater than 30,000 placements.
  • Deep expertise in data modeling, statistical analysis, and working with large scale datasets.
  • Hands on experience with big data platforms, cloud analytics environments, and modern data engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of predictive maintenance, reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA), and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and managing complex technical programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience utilizing SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBi or other similar software for data analysis.#LI-HM1 #CORP123

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$149,722.00 - $249,536.00
