PURPOSE STATEMENT

Focusing on Rich’s key retail customers, the E-Commerce Marketing Manager will be responsible for building the customer digital experience across various divisions. They will focus on growing online sales and digital share by collaborating across teams to drive innovation across platforms. This person will have a deep understanding of data-driven content, branding, and omni-channel marketing with experience in marketing strategy, channel management, and campaign development. . 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Leadership

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key customers’ online and ecommerce activation programs, systems and capabilities. The single point of contact for Rich’s sales & marketing ecommerce efforts with key customers.
  • Lead online sales & marketing growth initiatives for the assigned key customers across divisions by developing recommending/aligning, and executing the marketing calendar across the customers, in close partnership with other eCommerce associates and cross functional teams. 
  • Develop a strong relationship with key customers’ digital and ecommerce teams and strive to be a best-in-class partner. 

Sales & Marketing

  • Collaborate with Brand and Sales Leadership teams to identify priorities and execution schedule to mobilize resources and ensuring flawless execution on customers’ own platforms
  • Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to ensure a consistent customer experience across all brand touchpoints serving as ecommerce marketing subject matter expert for the assigned customers
  • Partner with key customer sales teams and attend key sales calls, joint business planning meetings, new item introductions to accelerate growth and share growth
  • Work closely with key customer sales teams to build comprehensive activation plans leveraging their in-store efforts and building online acceleration programs to amplify results 

Analytics

  • Apply business analysis to inform decisions that will drive Rich’s sales and share growth of Curbside, Click & Collect and Delivery across categories, while maximizing profitability both short- and long-term,
  • Leverage strong business acumen to execute smartly, supporting all decisions with financial and quantitative analysis.
  • Conduct post promotion analysis and benchmark our growth vs. the retailers. Constantly think outside the box and be solution oriented for the continuous improvement of customer value and business goals achievement.
  • Monitor & analyze marketplace and competitive activities and develop collaborative ways to share insights with ecommerce and division sales & marketing leadership teams.

Communications

  • Identify new capabilities and testing opportunities to position Rich’s as a key partner in driving the customers’ online sales growth.
  • Identify areas to improve platform conversion based on deep understanding of industry best practices, the target customer & consumers, the competitive landscape, brand and business goals.
  • Determine and communicate metrics of success, interacting with senior leadership on a regular basis 
  • Contribute to the flawless execution of digital merchandising and responsible for product content strategies, completeness, accuracy and ongoing optimization to drive greatest conversion and sales/share growth
  • Review daily requests for content updates and process accordingly

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred
  • Branded consumer goods experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of paid digital media universe, particularly SEM and paid social, and demonstrated ability to build robust digital media plans that deliver results.
  • Proficiency in online merchandising, user experience design, and usability best practices.
  • Experience building out CRM capabilities, notably email/ SMS journey development.
  • Ability to balance brand and performance when developing effective creative assets.
  • Solid analytic skills – metrics tracking, dashboard creation, and ability to extract insights from data and calculate program performance.
  • Track record of innovative strategic thinking combined with pragmatic, roll-up-the-sleeves execution and results delivery.
  • Skilled and experienced negotiator.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to motivate and persuade.
  • Ability to work across functions to catalyze change in a positive, collaborative, transparent way.
  • Self-starter, willingness, can-do attitude.
