PURPOSE STATEMENT

 

The Food Regulatory Specialist conducts regular research and administrative tasks to verify that Rich Products adheres to both domestic and international food regulations.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

 

  • Administer and coordinate small projects, manage segments of larger projects, assist in defining project objectives, organize, and prioritize tasks and conduct necessary research. Interface frequently with various internal departments (e.g. Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering), suppliers, customers, and government/regulatory officials in accomplishing project milestones

  • Review and approve the ingredient, nutritional, and handling information on routine and customized product labels, while applying a thorough knowledge of food labeling regulations

  • Research both domestic and international regulations, interpret regulations in response to internal/external customer requests and departmental requirements

  • Respond to customer's technical questions about Rich's products that are received through the Help Line

  • Extract and enter raw material and technical information into computer system/databases, while ensuring data integrity and compliance with domestic and international labeling regulations

  • Assist in the implementation and administration of the company's Right Product/Right Label Policy, ensuring labels accurately reflect product formulas

  • Facilitate Product Registration/Certification Administration in various international marketplaces by interacting with government officials. Must be able to interpret food and registration regulations and determine applicability to Rich's. Coordinate completion of necessary paperwork and documentation.

  • Facilitate NAFTA/tariff compliance, while ensuring that Rich's products are correctly categorized for tariff calculations

  • Resolve routine, non-routine, and complex problems by applying extensive technical knowledge and experience

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases

  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed in order to support Rich Products Corporation's business objectives

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

  • Strong PC and internet skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient with relevant software tools (e.g. Optiva, Accolade, etc.)

  • Must perform well in a collaborative team setting

  • Must possess strong communication skills

COMPENSATION

 

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$60,348.99 - $81,648.64
