Purpose Statement

The ICLT Intern will support the Indirect Category Leadership Team by contributing to multiple sourcing, analytics, and market intelligence initiatives across indirect spend categories. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in strategic sourcing support, spend analysis, supplier research, and opportunity identification within a fast-paced, project-based procurement environment.

The intern will work directly with category leaders across multiple initiatives, helping advance sourcing events, identify cost-saving opportunities, support tail spend reduction, and resolve supplier or requisitioner issues. This is a multifaceted, execution-oriented role requiring strong analytical skills, independence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Sourcing & Category Support

  • Support category leaders on active sourcing initiatives, renewals, and strategic projects 

  • Assist with RFP preparation, supplier comparisons, and documentation 

  •  Track actions, timelines, and deliverables across multiple category initiatives

  • Spend Analysis & Opportunity Identification • Analyze spend data to identify sourcing opportunities, consolidation potential, and tail spend reduction opportunities

  • Support opportunity sizing using Excel-based analysis and summary outputs • Assist with ad-hoc data requests tied to category strategies and stakeholder questions

 

Supplier & Market Research

  • Conduct market research and open-source intelligence on suppliers, categories, and cost drivers • Support supplier profiling, benchmarking, and background research • Compile insights to support sourcing strategies and stakeholder discussions

 

  • Tail Spend & Issue Support • Assist in identifying unmanaged or non-compliant spend • Support resolution of supplier, contract, and requisitioner issues • Help document repeat issues and improvement opportunities

  • Reporting & Communication • Create clear, concise summaries and presentations for category leaders

  • Maintain trackers, logs, and supporting documentation for active initiatives

  • Use Copilot and other digital tools to accelerate analysis and content creation

Team Collaboration

  • Work across multiple category leaders and initiatives concurrently

  • Follow direction while also operating independently to move work forward

  • Contribute as a reliable, proactive member of the ICLT

     

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or related field) and expected to remain enrolled for the duration of the internship

• Strong analytical capability with demonstrated ability to work with data

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) 

• Comfortable using Copilot and digital productivity tools to analyze data and generate insights

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and processes

• Self-starter who can work independently with limited supervision

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$18.00 - $24.00
