Purpose Statement
This customer-focused position executes timely, compliant and profitable activities to support the outbound freight product portfolio. This position will develop and maintain desk-level processes that provide exceptional service to our customers, optimize operating platform functionality and facilitate accurate information submission to internal and external parties.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Preparation of data, information and documentation for submission or transmission to carriers and regulatory agencies for booking freight and reporting export activities.
- Determination of HTS and/or Schedule B Classification, value for carriage and/or insurance; document format and content requirements for U.S. export and foreign import compliance.
- Secures optimal service and pricing options with carriers and other service providers.
- Customer service activities including shipment status and updates; service proposal and quotes for prospects, customers and network partners. May also include providing recommendations on services based on specific transaction and industry conditions. International instruments of payment (banking) services provided as needed.
- Coordination of timely billings to customer, and timely approval of payables to agents and carriers.
- Customer service activities including phone communications; e-mail, courier, USPS and facsimile transmission.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma required
- 2 + years transportation operations experience preferred
- NCBFAA Certified Export Specialist designation highly preferred
- Critical thinking skills and discretionary decision making
- Proficiency with software applications, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills, including communications.
- Ability to work independently and as a contributor to a team
COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$50,235.00 - $67,965.00
