The Logistics Analyst facilitates daily communications for issue resolution; Develops and execute process improvements, cost reductions, order management and conflict resolution. Maintains metrics to support both service and cost measurement.  Position ensures third party compliance to the Rich’s standards for warehousing and transportation, including routing guide compliance and facility performance.


  • Support Customer Service and Planning on transportation issues and opportunities.
  • Responsible for supporting third party tranportation groups in resolving escalated and emergency issues and shipments.
  • Review and interpret metrics on freight spend including dashboards, support of business reviews with carrier, financial reviews, and the S&OP process. Publish reports on key performance indicators for each facility managed based on required frequency. Provide analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitor routing guides actual performance and recommend opportunities for cost savings. Supports Logistics group in freight bid process.
  • Manage day to day relationship with air freight provider, including costs and service. Interface with Customer Service team to resolve issues.
  • Provide project analysis for the Logistics team. Recognize patterns and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Support Over/Short and Damaged (OS&D) product process as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or related field 
  • Minimum 3-5 years Logistics experience; Temperature controlled warehousing and transportation experience preferred
  • Strong analytical & quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, tableau, and Word. SAP Preferred
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing and managing skills
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Transportation & Warehousing industry – DOT Rules, Tariffs, Hours of Service, Equipment, Challenges, and Trends (preferred)
  • Effective conflict resolution and facilitation skills
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Travel 5% of the time
