PURPOSE STATEMENT

This position will be responsible for all U.S. import and export regulatory services that are provided to ROAR’s international service customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Ensure complete and accurate record(s), meeting U.S. Customs audit standards
  • Key account set up and maintenance
  • New customer set up and Power of Attorney (POA) verification.
  • Daily entry processing and account/load assignment
  • Daily ACH Statement and duty processing
  • Post Entry processing / FOIA requests and monitoring
  • Regulatory submissions, at customer request
  • Broker Management (with CHB); local permit/license
  • Ensure timely processing of billing and accounts payable for the import department
  • Assist monitoring import department revenue and expenses
  • Manage import department staff and maintain required staffing levels
  • Assist with presentations and customer visits; generate leads to sales
  • Assist sales team with quotations
  • Other responsibilities or duties as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • 8+ years of experience in import freight forwarding and/or customs brokerage with previous supervisory experience
  • U.S. Customs Brokers License required
  • Knowledge of CBP rules and regulations (CFR Title 19)
  • Knowledge of the HTS and commodity classification (HTSUS)
  • Strong knowledge of various transportation modes including air freight, LCL, FCL as well as knowledge of domestic trucking and rail movements
  • Excellent problem resolution and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Excel; Power Point; Outlook
  • Associates degree in International Logistics or 10+years of specific industry experience
