If this applies to you, then Rich Products is looking for your skills as a Network Modeling and Design Analyst at our World Headquarters’ in Buffalo, NY.  Rich’s, is one of the world’s largest family-owned food companies and a leading global supplier to the foodservice, in-store bakery, retail and industrial marketplaces


This role would be responsible for scoping, organizing resources, setting expectations, data gathering and conducting analysis against specific project goals. Establish expected business results in coordination with supply chain and CBU leaders. Track, report and take ownership of project progress and results.


As Network Modeling and Design Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

Forward Thinking:

  • Make recommendations as well as provide structured and creative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate alternatives for adding or subtracting capacity or capability and be able to present findings
  • Build and maintain linear programming models to support proactive network design analysis that best balance raw material, acquisition costs, manufacturing, and distribution, as well as capital investment.

Know the Network:

  • Maintain an understanding of the strategic direction by partnering with your business categories and leadership of various functional areas.

Understand the data:

  • Review and validate data, build and validate models and run scenarios.
  • Document and leverage different modeling approaches
  • Develop dashboards/presentations/deliverables for leadership to succinctly convey recommendations to diverse audiences
  • 1-3 years logistics experience
  • Experience in the data analysis field or similar discipline
  • Experience with optimization, modeling, simulation or linear programming preferred
  • Experience managing and manipulating large datasets (i.e. Alteryx, Data Guru, Tableau Prep, or similar ETL experience preferred)
  • Exposure and experience in several Modeling & Machine Learning Techniques
  • Experience with visualization tools preferred (Tableau, Qlik or similar)
  • Strong technical skillset (Excel VBA, Access Queries/Macros, BW, Network Analysis Tool (LNP, SCG, or CAST))
  • Exposure and experience in several analytic languages (SAS, SPSS, Stata)
  • Ability to data mine, find trends and correlations using different analytical tools
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing and leadership skills
  • Proficient and concise ability to presentation analytics
  • Candidates preferring to work remotely will be considered but will be required to work onsite at WHQ in Buffalo approximately 1 week per month
