Purpose Statement

Rich Products is looking for a PLM Specialist to join our Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Research, Innovation and Compliance (RIC) function. The role acts as a subject matter expert in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and processes. In this role, you are responsible for facilitating RIC related workflow transactions to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely product data as part of the Speed-To‑Market (STM) project lifecycles. 

This role partners closely with R&D, STM Coordinators, QA, Operations, and Plant Teams to execute PLM workflows, maintain data integrity, and enable business continuity across USC categories and manufacturing locations. The PLM Specialist is a hands-on system power user trusted with elevated system access, deep process knowledge, and expected to model and enforce excellence and governance standards.

Ideally, we would like this role to be based in Buffalo, NY, or St Simon's Island, GA.

 

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

PLM Workflow Execution & Data Management 
• Perform accurate and timely entry of assigned data responsibilities in PLM system, including:  
o Formulas and Finished Good (FG) recipes.
o Specifications.
o Controlled documentation and records management. 
• Create, launch, monitor, and support PLM workflows in alignment with requirements outlined in the Enterprise PLM manual (assignments range from ingredient processes to recipes impacting finished goods).  
• Review existing workflows and support system troubleshooting activities as assigned. 
 Serve as PLM representative on STM teams:  
• Provide guidance to STM teams on which PLM workflows to launch, when, and how.  
• Act as the R&D team member for STM project work for non development or low complexity initiatives (e.g., plant extensions, private label codes, specialty items) when limited involvement from product development is required. 
Data Integrity, Compliance & Integration 
• Validate PLM data accuracy and completeness, partnering with R&D when verification is required. 
• Ensure PLM data supports downstream systems (e.g., ERP/SAP, plant systems) and regulatory compliance. 
• Uphold PLM data standards, authorization rules, and IP protections across categories and plants. 
 Act as Raw Material Evaluation (RME) Administrator, when assigned, overseeing:  
• Set up of new RMEs in system (ingredients). 
• Collect and validate required documentation.
• Enter ingredient parameters into PLM Specifications. 
• Launch and monitor RME workflows.
• Support and administer the Global Replace process for ingredient and material change across USC plants.  
Support data insight/data service requests as part of the RIC Digital COE ecosystem: 
• Gather data from primary and secondary sources and translating into actionable insights. 
• Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors. 
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements. 
• Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments. 
• Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 4+ years of experience supporting PLM systems, product data lifecycle management, or R&D/STM workflows.
    • High level of proficiency using a PLM system (SAP/Oracle/Siemens or other recipe management database).
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
    • Exceptional attention to detail for highly data rich transactions where accuracy is of utmost importance.   
    • Capable of problem solving and critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights. 
    • Demonstrate effective communication, listening and collaboration skills. 
    • Ability to communicate with stakeholders across multiple audiences/functions. 

     

     

    Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$47,648.00 - $64,466.00
