Purpose Statement

The Porter is primarily responsible for assisting the Event Assistant/Steward and dishwashers with the cleaning and maintenance of the catering storage rooms, inventory, and procuring the necessary supplies and equipment for events. 

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Ensuring all silverware, glassware, and china is shined and polished
  • Ensuring the catering storage rooms are kept organized and all supplies and equipment are returned to the correct assigned storage areas after every event
  • Wash and store dishes and storage room equipment in their proper place
  • During events, assist with moving supplies and equipment from the dish pit to the china room
  • During the week, assist with  pulling supplies and equipment using event checklists
  • Load supplies and equipment onto the catering trucks
  • Drive supplies and equipment in the catering truck to the appropriate venue(s) when needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Porter / Dishwasher experience recommended
  • Ability to work a varied work schedule including holidays and weekends
  • Must be flexible with schedule and time changes
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$16.00 - $17.00
