PURPOSE STATEMENT

Utilizing advanced engineering principles and specialized knowledge in food science and chemistry, the Food Process Development Engineer III manages the identification, analysis, and design of cutting-edge food processing technologies for complex projects. This role involves integrating interdisciplinary expertise to align projects with the Global Technology Strategy, fostering extensive collaboration with scientists and engineers across all Product categories for Rich Products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  •  Proactively identifies opportunities to develop / optimize technologies, (complete with hypotheses, objectives, and measures) that will drive competitive advantage. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and research and development, to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process improvements and technology upgrades.
  • Design and oversee the installation of new process equipment and machinery, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing instructions.
  • Provide technical pilot plant support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and minimize downtime.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in food processing technology and engineering.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Food Science related field (Master's degree preferred, but not required)
  • Minimum 4+ years working experience in a food related industry 
  • Analytic Ability: Shows intellectual curiosity and gets to the root cause of problems to recommend solutions.  
  • Business Results Orientation: Seeks to understand business needs and gets results that have a clear, positive and direct impact on business performance. 
  • Communication: Clearly conveys complex and technical issues to a diverse audience.  
  • Decision Making: Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. 

 

 

COMPENSATION

 

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$95,177.21 - $128,769.17
