PURPOSE STATEMENT

This position will provide leadership in the execution of our HR business strategies and our supply chain people strategies. This role will also be a key partner, with our COE’s, as the ‘voice of supply chain’ for global and USC process design. In addition, there will be primary accountability to lead, develop and support HR Managers across multiple locations. This position can be based at any location.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Lead, develop and support our supply chain Human Resource team creating an environment of alignment, growth, high performance and engagement.
  • Strategic Business Partner to Sr. Director, Operations, focusing on driving USC HR strategies, TPM strategies and leadership.
  • Develops three-year strategic road map for locations within scope, based on organizational diagnostic inclusive of turnover, talent, succession, skill capabilities, TPM and acquisitions goals to align with future growth expectations. Leverage analytics to support development of plan.
  • Drive Diversity and Inclusion within Supply Chain, be a change agent to improves identified gaps. Support affinity group outreach to field manufacturing.
  • Active member within HR broader team influencing design for key USC deliverables prioritized with our HR COE’s. Act as voice of supply chain providing input, and flexibility, as consistent processes are designed.
  • Partner with plant managers and site HR to execute TPM labor strategy.
  • Responsible for leading and ensuring facilitation of negotiations for all collective bargaining agreements for locations within scope.
  • Drives union negotiation strategy, for unions within scope, according to USC Supply Chain Union Negotiation Process (inclusive of comp, legal, and TPM).
  • Work closely with VP HR, Supply Chain to design and implement progressive people practices and strategies to foster culture, enhance associate engagement and drive accountability for results.
  • Provides coaching to steering team of Sr. Director, Operations regarding Human Resource Supply Chain people plan.
  • Lead/Support various projects that support HR Initiatives being cascaded from the various Centers of Excellence.
  • Work with Plant Manager/Steering teams to identify changing business requirement for HR programs.
  • Provides change management consulting to site HR Managers and supply chain leadership.
  • Support needs of Acquisition due diligence and integrations.
  • Collaborative member of USC HR team and extended HR Global team.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience with an emphasis on Associate/Labor Relations and HR planning
  • Progressive HR experience in a manufacturing/supply chain capacity is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading a team of associates
  • Labor Relations Contract negotiations is preferred
  • Experience with multi-site unions is preferred
  • Experience in Acquisition and divestures
  • Strong business, financial, and management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective organization redesign and restructuring and lead major change initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good organization skills. Familiarity with applicable state, federal regulations and labor law
  • Strong personal leadership skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, knowledge of HR systems
