PURPOSE STATEMENT

As a Senior Hybrid Cloud Analyst at Rich Product’s, you will contribute to Rich’s Global digital strategy by designing and implementing new on premise and cloud technologies in the infrastructure domain. This role reports to the Manager of Global Project Delivery and collaborates with other Associates in the infrastructure domain to architect and deliver solutions such as, on Premise servers and cloud services, physical datacenters, O365, and typical windows environment administration.

 

The Senior Hybrid Cloud Analyst will bring a mix of execution and architecture of current technology and assist in developing a future vision for our infrastructure services. This includes architecting and implementing new solutions, executing, and managing life cycle projects and providing guidance on cloud, DR and data center hardware strategies.  The Senior Hybrid Cloud Analyst will work directly with and along side our Global teams to provide guidance and expertise.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Architecture and Design of new and existing solutions

  • Provides strategic and advanced planning, design, and deployment of Azure/AWS cloud based IAAS and PAAS solutions.
  • Assist in the development of our Cloud strategies and advance our Cloud governance and maturity
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for lifecycle projects of on-premises hardware in alignment with Cloud strategies.
  • Collaborates with the IS Security team to ensure infrastructure embraces and applies security strategy.
  • Assist with mid to long term planning

Execution of Projects

  • Provide architecture and SME support to Applications teams on business projects to ensure delivery of project in adherence to infrastructure architecture, DR and IS Digital Risk Management standards
  • Lead and execute medium to large projects in the infrastructure space including hardware lifecycle, foundational serveries architecture (DNS, DHCP, AD, ADFS, O365, Azure etc.) that include project teams of 3-8 associates
  • Applies project management skills in the development of project plans for self and others within the group. Or working alongside other project managers for larger initiatives.

Provide senior level support

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and assist as L3 support with critical incidents

Infrastructure Automation

  • Drive maturity in our infrastructure automation strategy and execute continuous improvement activates to streamline support and creation of new services

Vendor Management

  • Interacts with key vendors on a regular basis to stay ahead on technology shifts and to build stronger relationships.  
  • Utilizes and manages third party vendors in projects as necessary. Assigns tasks to the service vendors as required.
  • Maintain a regular meeting cadence with key partners to perform quarterly business reviews, strategic planning sessions and tactical discussions.

Global Standardization and Procurement on Hardware

  • Work with local teams to develop and align on standard processes for deployment, management, maintenance, and architecture.
  • Work with Global Procurement Team to develop and manage global catalog of infrastructure devices to ensure consistency and standardization
  • Responsible for maintaining an advanced awareness of the latest technologies and trends in the cloud computing field and recommend new technologies for possible business application. Must be capable of providing management a situational review on current technology trends as relating to RPC.
  • Function as lead position for discipline, providing guidance and training to less experienced analysts and administrators.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in foundational infrastructure technologies and processes (virtualization, directory services, backup/recovery/DR).
  • Experience with architecting and deploying infrastructure services considering DR, Security and Infrastructure standards
  • Requires a demonstrable knowledge of cloud technologies including hosting environments, service delivery methods (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS) and cloud security considerations.
  • Requires knowledge of on-premises datacenter technologies, hardware, and hardware lifecycle projects.
  • Experience with using and implementing automation frameworks and technologies such as ansible, terraform, vRealize etc.
  • Should have strong working knowledge of PowerShell and can write and debug complex scripts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server systems including but not limited to (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, O365)
  • Familiar with Azure services such as, Azure Site Recovery, Azure back up, billing and invoice management, subscription and resource group management, Azure networking technology, cost management levers, ARM templates etc.)
  • Travels occasionally (up to15%) - Domestic/International
