PURPOSE STATEMENT

Rich’s is growing our Demand Creation Information Systems delivery team. We are looking for a collaborative, self-directed, and globally focused individual to join our agile program to support Rich Product’s corporate global growth strategy.  Our teams are focused on replacing manual and outdated processes and systems with newer digital solutions to modernize our digital Sales and Marketing capabilities.

  • This Sr. Programmer Analyst role reports to the Demand Creation Service Line organization and will provide support for our evolving Marketing Technology stack. This includes a combination of both purchased and/or custom developed applications and integrations.  Our team prioritizes and seeks problem solvers with a demonstrated continual learning mind-set over specific subject matter expertise.

This is a remote position but may require up to 10% travel to Buffalo, NY. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • You will be working with Business Partners to determine business needs, identify system requirements and foster strong customer relations within your area of responsibility and provide regular status updates to users and IS Management regarding initiatives.
  • You will be a member of an agile delivery team and you will need to work to build a strong bond with your team members as Rich’s has long living digital product teams.
  • You will be challenged to think about things from different perspectives and encouraged to embrace a continual learning mindset.
  • You will be developing or configuring applications in your day to day activities. Existing packaged applications in this domain include: Salesforce (CRM), Winshuttle Enterworks (PIM), Salsify (PXM) and Informatica (MDM). Most of the existing cloud developed solutions reside over an assortment of Microsoft Azure resources.
  • You will work with your team, a product owner and scrum master to build and execute user stories aimed at building new digital functionality.
  • You will rely on your ability to effectively communicate ideas, thoughts, and technical concepts in a digestible format to leadership and non-technical stakeholders in both an in-person and virtual environment.
  • You will be expected to work in a globally distributed & culturally diverse team in multiple time zones.
     

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school or equivalent required and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems strongly desired
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application development/configuration, deployment and/or systems integration involving multiple teams and initiatives
  • Experience with server side and client-side development languages and frameworks is preferred (e.g. C#, Javascript, .net core, vue.js)
  • Experience working with API/web services using REST, automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium and querying databases using SQL is preferred
  • Exposure to cloud technology within Microsoft Azure is preferred
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as the Scaled Agile Framework and DevOps concepts to build, test and deploy applications fast & often. Experience or interest in a Scrum Master / Agile Coach role is desirable.
  • Strong PC Skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and collaboration technologies such as Teams
  • Ability to build close relationships with senior business leaders
  • Ability to utilize strong verbal and written communication skills allowing you to present confidently to your team and other stakeholders within the delivery program
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to the point of being able to help coach team members
  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced result-oriented environment
