PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Trade Analyst, Revenue Management and Analytics is accountable for supporting the FSD Trade Manager and Director of Revenue Management by leveraging trade systems and other sources of internal and external data to drive analytics that support trade management, contract negotiation, sales campaigns and marketing campaigns.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Revenue & Trade Management – focus on trade analyses, recommendations, and tracking.
•    Provide support in developing and executing continuous improvements within the Trade Spending space around the areas of policies, guidelines, planning, effectiveness, efficiency, and reduction.
•    Execute price increases for the Foodservice division.
•    Create, deploy, & manage assigned trade budgets/targets & coordinate funds setting in trade system aligned with the Manager. Manage and oversee blacksmith trade accruals for both NAR & Corp distribution. 
•    Partnering with the Manager, actively analyze trade risk and opportunity aligned with IBP process; collaborate with finance and accounting on trade liability and associated accruals, making recommendations to the Director of Revenue.
•    Work directly with internal and external customers to resolve pricing discrepancies or program requests and ensure alignment with the overall divisional trade strategy. 
•    Identify trade productivity and cost savings initiatives that drive FSD results. Ownership of FSE Harvest tool and related technology to eliminate double dips. 
 
RFP & Contract Management – focus on research, background, analyses, and recommendations.
•    Provide trade analyses support to business leads and Manager in evaluating, analyzing, and executing customer and distributor contracts in collaboration with sales, marketing and legal.
•    Provide analysis and guidance to support senior leaders in effectiveness of contract and trade negotiation.
•    Partnering with the Manager, provide cross-functional RFP response support including financial scenario analysis and submission.  Ensure timely review and approval / reconciliation of variations with Director and SVP FS approvals.
•    Maintain records of customer negotiation, internal review and alignment and financial analysis.

RFP Management & Contract Negotiation – focus on standard operating procedures, monitoring compliance and maintaining master schedule.
•    Develop guidelines and standard operating procedures contract management and administration in compliance with company policy.  Provide recommendations to Manager.
•    Monitor competitive contracting practices. Recommend changes to Director and SVP FS.
•    Monitor contract compliance (i.e. milestones, growth programs, service-levels)
•    Maintain master schedule of customer & distributor contracts, expiration dates, extensions, renewals.
 

Analytics – focus on trade analyses and new datasets.
•    Provide trade analyses support to Manager by leveraging trade systems and other sources of internal and external data to deliver insights that support trade management, sales planning, contract negotiation, sales campaigns and marketing programs; provide analyses support in measuring progress against strategic initiatives, analyze marketplace performance and identify risks and opportunities to the Director and SVP FS.   
•    Provide support with external vendors that provide data, analytics tools and systems including FSE, Firefly, NPD Supply Track, etc.
•    Proactively analyze and make recommendations to acquire new datasets through customer contract negotiations.
•    Support divisional requirements as directed and provide input to Demand Creation Foundations team regarding indirect customer hierarchy and customer datasets to enable insights. 
 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of relevant trade and/or finance experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related Business degree; MBA strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability organizing and prioritizing work;, proven success in meeting multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in applying strong functional knowledge of financial terminology and processes
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, ability to connect the dots and draw insights from multiple sources of information, proven success in making recommendations Demonstrated ability in working collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Sales Planning & Operations, Finance and customers
  • Demonstrated ability influencing at all levels within the organization
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Effective verbal, written communication skills, proven success in demonstrating solid presentation skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office software proficiency with Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Trade systems – preferably Blacksmith, SAP or ERP

COMPENSATION

 

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$65,264.00 - $88,299.00
