PURPOSE STATEMENT

This position will lead the USC Supply Chain Human Resource Team, be a judicious partner to USC Supply Chain leadership in advancing the business through HR core competencies and business acumen. This role is also a critical member of the USC Regional HR team and the extended global HR team. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Lead, develop and support our supply chain Human Resource team resulting in an environment where the HR team is aligned, developing and providing value through high performance and high engagement. 
  • Strategic Business Partner to USC Supply Chain and core member of Supply Chain leadership team.  Accountable for strategically influencing SC leadership in how HR can enable overall higher business performance
  • Partners with Global Procurement and Global Quality Assurance when global initiatives intersect USC manufacturing.
  • Active participant for HR due diligence for potential acquisitions
  • Develops three year road map for HR goals and objectives based on supply chain diagnostic and USC Regional/Global HR priorities inclusive of union and non unionized facilities.
  • Strategizes and implements short and long term labor strategies for production workforce
  • Drives annual USC HR objectives with supply chain
  • Influences and represents USC Supply Chain point of view with USC HR team and COE design initiatives.
  • Collaborative leader with USC HR team and Global HR Steering Team
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 15 years HR experience, 10 years in a business partner role
  • M&A experience preferred
  • Manufacturing industry HR experience, or relevant
  • Union contract negotiation experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience leading teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

  • Lead an extended team of 25+ individuals, mostly at remote locations
  • Interaction and partnership with Shared Services and COE resources


KEY CUSTOMER CONTACTS:

  • Potential team interaction with key customers at manufacturing locations
  • Potential team interaction with government agencies


SCOPE INDICATORS:

  • 25 + manufacturing locations across the US, one in Canada
  • USC Region is 2.4 Billion in revenue with extensive growth targets
  • RPC is a 4 Billion Dollar global company – role is located at World Headquarters


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to travel 40% of time
