Purpose Statement

To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of ROAR Logistics’ intermodal services, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions for our customers. Strive daily towards growth, best practices and optimization of new and existing freight.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

· Oversee all aspects of intermodal operations team, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments.

· Communicate effectively and be the conduit between intermodal operations, pricing and sales.

· Implement and maintain National Carrier relationships for ROAR Logistics.

· Onboard new 53’ intermodal equipment providers that are currently not being utilized by ROAR.

· Become a service matter expert for all aspects pertaining to domestic 40’ freight and repositioning of steamship containers.

· Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.

· Manage and mentor a team of intermodal operations staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.

· Coordinate with rail, drayage, and other service providers to secure capacity and negotiate favorable rates.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with drayage carriers to secure capacity for the Intermodal Division. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels

· Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to drayage operations, such as on-time delivery, cost per move, and carrier utilization, capacity performance, and cost analysis

· Ensure team is utilizing best routing options by working directly or indirectly with the ROAR Intermodal Pricing team.

· Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

· Maintain strong relationships with key vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

· Resolve operational issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to service and customer satisfaction.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to keep ROAR Logistics at the forefront of intermodal transportation.

· Always represent ROAR in a professional manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

· Extensive experience in intermodal operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry.

· Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

· Strong negotiation skills and experience working with rail, drayage, and other transportation providers.

· Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

· Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software and Quantum Edge utilization.

· Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Email System.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Ability to travel as needed for business purposes.

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$110,700.00 - $184,500.00
