PURPOSE STATEMENT

Provide technical and sales support to key customers of the In-Store Bakery and Food Service Division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Plan, develop and provide training on all products at customer In-Store Bakery and Food Service locations.

 

Achieve annual sales and profit targets in conjunction with Manager.

 

Develop and maintain close business relationships with In-Store Bakery and Food Service customers providing product merchandising expertise.

 

Co-develop new dessert products with customers, R&D, sales & marketing in Woodbridge Culinary Centre

 

Assist sales managers and brokers at food shows sales meeting and industry events.

 

Provide support for new store openings.

 

Conduct selling and merchandise seminars.

 

Clear understanding of assigned account dynamics, management policy and procedures.

 

Support retail implementation of approved product on program; understanding the direction of account decision maker.

 

Provide product training and sample process for associates.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

 

Minimum 2 (two) years of retail bakery or food service experience preferred, focusing on product training and in-store bakery merchandising.

 

Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to explain the skills necessary to those who may have minimal experience in cake decorating

 

Experience working on teams

 

PC experience to include Microsoft Office Outlook,  Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (i.e.; product samples cases, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for 6 or more hours during the work day (i.e.; trade shows, product demonstrations, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
