PURPOSE STATEMENT

Do you like to shake things up a bit?  Not have the same route every month of the year?

As a Carvel Relief Route Sales Delivery Driver, you will be fully responsible for the direct store delivery of quality products to our supermarket accounts. This route isn't an assigned route as you will be working various routes depending on the need for a particular area.  

 

Route relief position would be reporting to the South New Jersey area - routes will change depending on coverage

 

**There will be overnight travel with a potential up to 50% of the time**

Coverage area consists of but not limited to:

Pennsauken, NJ, Williamstown, NJ & Lakewood, NJ Philadelphia, PA & Wilmington, DE

What do we need?

  • Simply put, qualified, hardworking people such as yourself.  Relief Route Sales Delivery Representatives are full-time positions that are responsible for selling and delivering Carvel & Rich’s complete line of high-quality frozen goods to existing and new accounts while driving a Carvel Truck.
  • Key goals include safety, sales and credit volume, customer service and in-store merchandising execution.
  • Relief Route Sales Representative's hours of work vary by assigned route. Start times can begin as early as 3:00 am.  A typical work day includes 10-15 stops
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

What do you need?

  • Strong work ethic and a team player who puts the customer first
  • Minimally 21 years of age
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record– we will be checking
  • Servicing our customers is tough work, and you will need to be able to climb in and out of the truck and carry goods that can weigh up to 50 pounds
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • A CDL-B permit is required prior to start.  The fee will be reimbursed 30 days after you start and have obtained your CDL-B license (which we also pay for).  Do you already have this?  Great, that is even better and a preferred.
  • Previous DSD experience is a bonus
