Purpose Statement

The Smart Factory Continuous Improvement Engineer will serve a hands-on role as a technical leader identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall performance through the implementation of digital technologies and continuous improvement methodologies. In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance to maximize the value of the priority Smart Factory products across our United States and Canada manufacturing facilities. As part of the Smart Factory Agile Team, this individual will work within the Agile Scrum methodology to deploy Smart Factory technologies. This is a remote position but must be able to travel to manufacturing sites and offices up to 50% as needed.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

•    Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within our manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality using continuous improvement methodologies and Smart Factory technologies.
•    Support the evaluation, selection, and integration of advanced technologies and software systems that provide real-time data monitoring, machine learning, and automated setpoint optimization.
•    Utilize data-driven insights to monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement data analytics tools to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and IT, to ensure successful implementation of Smart Factory initiatives.
•    Create Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) training materials to drive adoption of Smart Factory technologies and business results. Provide training and coaching to operational teams to enhance capabilities and eliminate loss.
•    Develop and maintain KPIs and performance metrics to track the impact of digital initiatives and identify areas for further improvement.
•    Complete baseline capability studies and utilize Six Sigma tools including Design of Experiments, DMAIC, SPC, and root cause analysis.
•    Reports out frequently on product purpose and progress to leadership at all levels and other stakeholders. Is an active contributor to Agile Program Increment Planning Readouts and Inspect and Adapt ceremonies.
•    Research and stay up to date on program best practices, recommending those which will benefit the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

•    Strong cross-cultural agility, business acumen, and strong leadership/ influencing skills
•    Experience in manufacturing Operations required
•    Experience with Focused Improvement and Kaizen activity or Continuous Improvement program (Lean/Six-Sigma, TPM, etc) required
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred. 
•    Experience in food manufacturing preferred
•    Lean/Six-Sigma black belt certification preferred
•    Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Minitab
•    Working knowledge of the Agile Scrum methodology preferred
•    Must have excellent communication skills to plant teams and leadership at all levels
•    Experience identifying, prioritizing, and leading Continuous Improvement initiatives with plant teams, driving measurable improvements and business results.
•    Ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs with the team
•    Able to foster collaboration and act as a team member

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$86,355.17 - $116,833.47
