PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Production Associate works Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night Shift. Are you looking for a stable, family owned company with a great culture and great benefits? KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

 

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
  • Follows established General Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
  • Perform periodic equipment inspections, trouble shooting, adjustments and cleaning of equipment.
  • Count, pack, and inspect finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and integrity.
  • Works to understand overall impact of his/her job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements to Supervisory.
  • Performs specific tasks as assigned by production supervisors which may include pallets, loading, packing, dumping, and cutting.
  • Identifies and addresses product or processing problems in a timely manner.
  • Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed.
  • Adhere to all USDA, FDA and GMP requirements.
  • Makes SAFETY a first priority, while carrying out his /her daily activities
  • Reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate superior
  • Inspects equipment prior to start packaging to ensure that is in working condition and free of any foreign material.
  • Procures Product Specifications of products to be run, according to the schedule.
  • Sets up and operates assigned equipment according to (S.O.P`s) Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assures that all Product Specifications are being met, will notify supervision immediately if there is any deviation from Standards
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by a group leader, supervisor or member of management.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment.
  • Must have good communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Able to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
  • Able to follow directions from supervisor
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.
