Purpose Statement
We are seeking a motivated and curious Data + AI Co-Op to join our Enterprise Data & AI team. This full-time co-op opportunity is designed for a college student looking to gain hands-on experience working with modern data platforms, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities in a real-world enterprise environment.
You will work alongside data engineers, analysts, and AI practitioners to support the development of data pipelines, analytics solutions, and AI-powered solutions that drive business value across the organization.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
What You'll Do:
Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for analytics and AI use cases
· Support data profiling and quality checks to ensure trusted and reliable datasets
· Contribute to analytics and reporting solutions (e.g., dashboards, datasets, basic visualizations)
· Help prototype Agentic AI and Generative AI use cases, including design, testing, and evaluation
· Work with structured and unstructured data (e.g., tables, documents, text)
· Collaborate with team members to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions
· Document processes, workflows, and learnings to support team knowledge sharing
What You'll Learn:
How enterprise data platforms are designed and operated (e.g., data ingestion → transformation → consumption)
· Exposure to modern tools and platforms such as Databricks, Python, and BI tools
· Fundamentals of AI/GenAI in business applications, including prompt engineering and evaluation
· Best practices in data governance, data modeling, and data quality
· How to work in an agile, cross-functional Data & AI team
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Information Systems
- Engineering or a related field
- Basic understanding of SQL and/or Python
- Familiarity with data concepts (tables, joins, basic transformations)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op period
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to tools like Databricks, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, or small projects
- Interest in AI, machine learning, or generative AI
- Experience working with APIs or handling JSON data
- Experience working with Git / Code Repositories & IDEs such as VSCode
COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$24.00 - $32.00
