Meet Your Job
In this Pacific Time Zone (US) located role, the Demand Planner, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, will build and maintain our demand forecast, while providing timely and sound business counsel, insights, and information to the organization. The role will focus on cup demand plans within the convenience store business segment. This individual will work closely with Marketing & Sales to establish forecast consensus. They will also coordinate with Supply Chain Operations to communicate demand requirements

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain Operations to build and maintain a robust, statistical forecast model
  • Support strategic planning by developing annual, and 3-year cup unit and revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain forecast accuracy KPI(s)
  • Understand sources of demand (customer, consumer, pricing, promotions, etc.)
  • Understand market intelligence and drive consensus on the monthly forecast with Marketing & Sales
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Demand Review meetings as part of our IBP process; act as process owner of this meeting to ensure the process is an integral part of the planning and control process
  • Understand inventory and identify supply constraints working with Supply Chain Operations
  • Working with Supply Chain Operations to identify gaps to the cup forecast, facilitate gap closing measures, communicate with Marketing & Sales, and bring together stakeholders to agree on allocation planning
  • Understand and monitor the inventory levels of our distributors to identify risks or opportunities
  • Forecast new products and LTOs as well as assist in runouts of discontinued products
  • Identify and develop continuous improvements to demand planning system and processes
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support on key macro trends

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, statistics, engineering, or related discipline required. 
  • 5-7 years of experience at a mid-size company with a tangible product (i.e., CPG)
  • Top of the chart excel skills (you rate yourself a “9 / 10”)
  • Strong analytical skills and report-building experience 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, which help you further in working closely together with various departments across a multitude of management levels
  • Self-driven, positive, results-oriented performer
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work with various functions across a multitude of management levels
  • Humble with a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude
